Riga Social Service Riga Social Service announces an open recruitment for a Social Worker (in the field of social assistance) (profession code 2635 01) position Riga Social Service is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Riga City Municipality that provides social assistance, organizes and delivers social services, and provides assistant services in the municipality to Riga residents. The purpose of the position is to provide professional support in the process of granting social assistance. We will entrust you with: receiving first-time clients, consulting, informing them about their rights to social assistance and about the possibilities and procedures for realizing these rights, as well as about obligations to cooperate in receiving social assistance, and when necessary, completing a means of subsistence declaration; using the Municipality's Social Assistance Information System SOPA and other databases in your work. Regularly and promptly clarifying and updating information in SOPA; working as a case manager in complex social assistance administration situations; assessing the existence of shared households, consulting social assistance organizers on establishing the fact of shared households; when necessary to resolve a client's social situation, conducting inspections at their place of residence; preparing social rehabilitation plans; performing social situation analysis in cases where a client has requested payment of apartment debt by concluding a tripartite agreement; building a client personal file, including accurate data about the client and their family situation, living conditions, problems, attaching documents that confirm the client's material and family situation; preparing draft administrative acts. Organizing meetings with clients, legal and natural persons, state and municipal institutions. We expect: second-level professional higher or academic education in social work or charitable social work, or a second-year student studying in the field of social work; state language proficiency at C1 level (highest level); skills in navigating regulatory acts; excellent computer and office equipment skills; contact culture, skills in communicating with people; the ability to make decisions independently, in accordance with your competence.
