Ventspils Social Services, a municipal institution of Ventspils city, announces a competition for a social worker position (permanent). Requirements for applicants: 1st or 2nd level higher education in social work or charitable social work with a qualification as social worker. Applicants who are students in the higher education program "social worker" will also be considered; however, obtaining a social worker qualification will be considered an advantage; Skills in working with MS Office programs, the internet, and email. Experience with the SOPA program will be considered an advantage; Experience in social work or social work practice will be considered an advantage; Inform clients about their rights to social services, provide consultations on problem-solving methods; Organize the receipt of social services in cooperation with other specialists, manage social cases; Data and information processing in the SOPA program. Additional requirements: - Excellent communication skills; - Understanding of the fundamental principles of social service provision; - Understanding of the social needs of different social groups; - Ability to identify and analyze clients' social problems, their causes and consequences; - High standards of work ethics; - Compliance with confidentiality requirements.
