STATE SOCIAL CARE CENTER "Zemgale" reg.no. 40900035103 is the largest state provider of long-term social care and social rehabilitation services in Latvia. WE ARE HIRING a social worker at the "Jelgava" branch (for an indefinite period, 1 full-time position) Key job responsibilities: - Determine client's social needs and identify social problems; - Provide support to clients in conflict resolution, selecting appropriate advisory methods; - Advise clients on matters related to their rights and obligations; - Understand the client's socialization process and opportunities for maintaining social functioning, taking into account the client's internal resources; - Promote client independence and autonomy in maintaining their social skills and developing cognitive interests; - Represent and, if necessary, perform mediation functions, cooperating with other institutions and specialists in the client's interests (residence registration, benefits and pension matters, guardianship issues, etc.); - Lead specialist team work; - Use social work theories and methods in professional activities, according to the client's situation; - Develop an intervention plan, according to the client's situation, if necessary coordinate the work of involved specialists and other responsibilities. Requirements for candidates: - Second-level professional higher education in social work; - Desired practical work experience in the position; - Digital skills and a valid electronic signature. We offer: - Social guarantees in accordance with those established in public administration. - Salary (gross) EUR 1083 – EUR 1445, salary during probation period up to EUR 1089, average salary after probation period EUR 1241; - 25% monthly supplement from the established monthly salary for work related to special risk; - Additional leave for special risk (3 working days per year) and additional leave for annual assessment (from 4-10 working days per year); - Work experience in public administration; - Normal reduced working hours 35h per week; - Friendly, responsive and professional colleagues; - Health insurance after 3 months of work.
