Jelgavas valstspilsētas pašvaldības iestāde "Jelgavas sociālo lietu pārvalde" (90001042284) is seeking a Social Worker in the Social Assistance Administration Division.
Main Duties:
1. provide individuals with assistance and support in resolving social problems;
2. conduct research on the social situation of benefit recipients' families (persons) and agree on the main social problems that are the reason for low income;
3. assess families' (persons') needs, material and personal resources;
4. evaluate clients' income and material condition and ensure benefits are granted in accordance with regulatory acts;
5. calculate the amount of benefit to be granted in accordance with regulatory acts;
6. conduct home visits to clients;
7. establish client cooperation obligations to be performed to resolve problems and improve the family's social situation;
8. work with the Municipality's social assistance and social services administration application (SOPA).
Requirements for Candidates:
1. Required Education:
1.1. First cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work, or is a student of the respective study program who has completed the full-time study program with at least 180 credit points or part-time study program with 162 credit points, or
1.2. is a student of a first cycle higher education study program in social work or charitable social work who has completed the respective full-time study program with at least 120 credit points or part-time study program with at least 108 credit points, or
1.3. second cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work, or is a student of the respective study program who has completed the full-time study program with at least 60 credit points or part-time study program with at least 54 credit points;
2. C level 1st degree state language proficiency;
3. good skills in working with Microsoft Office programs;
4. ability to work independently and in a team;
5. good communication, cooperation, and argumentation skills;
6. ability to plan and organize your work.
