Infection Control Västernorrland plans, organizes and leads the regional infection control work. We work to prevent and limit the spread of communicable diseases among people, monitor the infection situation in the county and provide advice and support to healthcare, authorities, organizations and the public. We also coordinate the region's work against antibiotic resistance and work strategically with vaccinations as well as preparedness for epidemics and pandemics. Our operations are governed by the Communicable Diseases Act. We are now seeking an additional infection control nurse to our team. As an infection control nurse, you work both independently and together with infection control physicians, infection control nurses, infection control administrator and pharmacists. The work offers good opportunities for professional development, further training and taking own initiatives. You will have a central role in a socially important mission with many contact points both regionally and nationally. We have fine office facilities at Sundsvall Hospital but work across the region. Travel for meetings and further training is included in the position. The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement. Duties Monitor and analyze the epidemiological situation for notifiable diseases Conduct investigations and carry out disease prevention work Handle cases, official duties and outbreaks of communicable diseases Inform, educate and advise the public, healthcare, other authorities and organizations Cooperate with healthcare, municipalities, the County Administrative Board, other regional infection control units and the Public Health Agency Qualifications We are looking for you who Are a registered nurse Have experience working as a nurse Have good computer skills and master the Office package Have very good knowledge of Swedish corresponding to level C1 according to CEFR Have good knowledge of English in speech and writing It is a merit if you Have specialist training in a relevant area, such as district nurse, infection control nurse or child and adolescent nurse Have work experience or education in infectious diseases, infection control, public health, epidemiology or healthcare hygiene Have experience working with research or quality assurance Have experience in pedagogical work and teaching To succeed in the role, we believe you have these personal characteristics Initiative: You take initiative, start activities and achieve results Pedagogical insight: You adapt the way you communicate messages to the recipient Collaboration skills: You work well with colleagues and other collaborators Flexibility: You easily adapt to changed circumstances We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
