At Skövde Energi, we are a total of 83 engaged employees, of which 18 work within the electrical grid business area. Our electrical grid has the responsibility of supplying approximately 22,000 customers with electricity – while also developing and maintaining the grid to meet future needs.
Work Responsibilities
As manager of our electrical distribution department, you lead the daily operations and hold overall responsibility for the business. You are responsible for personnel, budget, and operational development for a team of approximately ten employees, primarily distribution electricians. The role also includes planning, leading, and following up on the department's work with a focus on quality, delivery, and results, as well as ensuring efficient resource and work scheduling.
You play an important role in enabling the electrification of society and creating conditions for continued growth in Skövde. Through structured and long-term work, you ensure efficient maintenance and implement planned reinforcements and improvements in the electrical grid. In the coming years, the department will continue to focus on capacity reinforcements, planned grid measures, and investments that meet increased needs due to electrification, new establishments, and energy transition.
You are responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable requirements in occupational health, safety, and environment, and you actively work to develop work methods and processes. The role involves close collaboration with internal functions, contractors, authorities, and other external stakeholders and offers a combination of operational leadership, technical operational responsibility, and a mission of great societal value.
You report to the grid manager, who is also the head of the electrical grid business area, and are an important part of the operational development of the business area. Through present, inclusive, and clear leadership, you create engagement, accountability, and good conditions for both employee and operational development. On-call duty in operational readiness may be required in this position.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in energy, infrastructure, and societal issues and a desire to contribute to sustainable societal development. You have knowledge within the electrical field or experience from the electrical industry or other related business. Education in electrical, energy, automation, or other related technical field is a good foundation for the role.
Experience from the energy industry is meritorious, but we also welcome applicants from other technical fields. We place great emphasis on your ability to create engagement, take responsibility, and build effective work methods.
To succeed in the role, you are a confident and clear leader who creates engagement through participation, trust, and good communication. You work in a structured manner, have good administrative ability, and enjoy planning, prioritizing, and following up on operations. You have a solution-oriented approach, are unpretentious in collaborations, and have an easy time building good relationships, both within your own operation and with external parties.
You enjoy working close to your employees and are motivated by developing people, work methods, and operations. You have an interest in technology and see the value of continuous improvements that contribute to a safe, efficient, and sustainable operation.
