We are now recruiting a care worker for Department 95 within the Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Västmanland. Job Responsibilities As a care worker, you play a central role in patient care and in creating safety and structure for patients. Your responsibilities include care and support based on individual care plans as well as documentation in Cosmic and Cosmic Nova. The work includes blood sampling, NEWS monitoring and other routine care worker duties. You work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in a team together with nurses and other care workers. Additional shifts may occur as needed, both on your own department and on somatic departments. The work is patient-focused and includes therapeutic conversations, contact with family members and other stakeholders as well as participation in doctor consultations and examinations such as ECG, EEG and X-ray. The role also includes practical tasks that contribute to the daily operations of the department, such as meal handling, shopping and some cleaning. About the Workplace Adult psychiatric inpatient care in Västmanland consists of a psychiatric emergency clinic and five care units specializing in general psychiatry, psychosis and substance abuse disorders. The departments work closely together to meet the needs of adult patients requiring acute psychiatric care. Department 95 is a general psychiatric acute care unit with a broad focus. Here we care for patients with mental illness and health problems throughout adulthood, such as anxiety, depression, crises, suicidality, cognitive impairment and dementia. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. It is particularly meritorious if you have experience working in psychiatric inpatient care. Experience in somatic care, work in elderly care as well as knowledge of the Cosmic medical record system are also meritorious.
