Specialist psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults conducts knowledge-driven and specialized psychiatric care in collaboration with the patient, family members, and other healthcare providers within and outside Region Kronoberg. A good work environment with motivated and competent employees is a prerequisite for us to succeed in our mission. The operation is organized in different units where staff work based on integrated teams, outpatient care, and 24-hour care that follow the patient through the entire care chain. Our mission is to provide specialist psychiatry for patients with serious mental illness, complex issues, and often comorbidities. We want to create good conditions for our patients to receive effective treatment with the best possible expertise that leads to improvements for the patient.
The Psychosis Unit consists of a specialist psychiatric 24-hour care facility with 14 care beds and two outpatient clinics, one in Växjö and one in Ljungby, which follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's national guidelines. Our work is characterized by a person-centered model and a cognitive approach, accessibility, and a holistic view of patients' situations, where the patient's and family's needs are the foundation. We care for people with psychotic disorders and also care for patients with concurrent neuropsychiatric issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a care attendant on the psychosis unit, you have the opportunity to work from a holistic perspective, where you play an important role in both psychiatric and somatic healthcare.
We are organized in two care teams, where we work together as a team close to the patient. As a care attendant, you are often the one closest to the patient in collaboration with different professions.
Your work tasks include psychiatric and somatic nursing and treatment work where you actively contribute to the patient's well-being through documentation, meaningful patient conversations, contact with family members, and collaboration with the patient's network.
We use Cambio Cosmic as our documentation system to ensure safe patient documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are trained as a care attendant or nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on psychiatry. We consider it a merit if you have extensive experience working in psychiatry. Your passion and commitment are valuable to us, and we encourage a positive work climate where you contribute to a pleasant work environment. As a person, you are flexible and have a natural ability to handle different situations in a good way. You enjoy a varied workday and are open to the possibility of sometimes covering and helping in our other nearby units.
In psychiatry, you are not just a professional care attendant, but also an important part of the care process as a personal resource. How you treat others is important to us, and you handle relationships, experiences, and emotions that arise in encounters well. Your professional confidence and ability to make your own decisions are crucial for you to succeed in your role.
