About the Position Do you want to make a difference for people in a vulnerable life situation while developing in a safe and stimulating work environment? We are now seeking a trained care attendant for a one-year night shift temporary position in psychiatric inpatient care. Department 242 is the largest 24-hour care unit within Psychiatry Psychosis at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Here we care for patients with psychotic illness in acute and complex stages. Through person-centered care, professional conduct, and close teamwork, we create safety, participation, and conditions for recovery. Job Responsibilities Conversation and patient interaction form the foundation of our work. You will work with psychiatric nursing care, supportive and motivating conversations, and help create safety and participation in care. Together with the patient and the team, you will plan, implement, and follow up on care based on the patient's needs and goals. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a trained care attendant/nursing assistant with an interest in psychiatry and teamwork. Experience in psychiatric care, particularly psychosis care, is a plus, as is specialist training in psychiatry. You are confident, attentive, and responsible, with a genuine interest in people and a strong ability to build trusting relationships. You want to contribute to patients' recovery and well-being. Sahlgrenska University Hospital has a time credit system tied to night shifts which reduces your weekly working hours for each night shift you work. We warmly welcome your application!
