As a caregiver in the pool, you have a home unit that you belong to, but you work on several units within adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. The patients you meet have varying diagnoses, conditions, and needs which provides opportunities to learn and develop in your work. Your duties include basic care, observations, and documentation.
You will work a rotating 6-week schedule with 2 weeks night shift and 4 weeks day/evening shift, and work every other weekend.

About You
You are a trained caregiver or nursing assistant, or alternatively have an education that the employer considers equivalent. Previous work experience from psychiatry, treatment homes, or similar activities is meritorious.
The role requires that you have good cooperation skills, that you can be clear in your communication, and can provide patients with a low-key approach.
You enjoy varied work, are flexible in your work methods, and can easily adapt to changed circumstances.
Your Future Workplace
This autumn we moved into the newly built psychiatric building at the hospital area in Västervik where we have now consolidated all adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry in the same building. Here we are approximately 200 employees working within 24-hour care, outpatient care, and forensic psychiatry. We have two general psychiatric and two forensic psychiatric units where forensic psychiatry is a regional resource for the entire Region Kalmar County.
We are part of the Psychiatry Administration in Region Kalmar County. Within the administration, a total of 600 employees work with specialist psychiatric care for adults, children and adolescents, forensic psychiatric care, and rehabilitation care.
