Grindtorpsskolan (Grades F-9) has an experienced full-time school nurse but needs support as we have close to 500 students, many of whom are newly arrived. Kvarnhagsskolan (Grades F-9 AGR) also has an experienced full-time school nurse, but we need a school nurse who can take specific responsibility for Adapted Elementary School (as well as Kvarnhagsskolan's newly arrived students). Your role as a school nurse includes collaborating with school leadership, student health personnel, and other school staff to create the best possible conditions for student health, learning, and safety, drawing on your nursing expertise. The school nurse role involves promoting health and preventing illness in accordance with the municipality's base program and following the guidelines in the Health and Medical Care Act, the Education Act, and guidance for student health services. Health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, open clinic hours, and clinic sessions with the school physician are part of your responsibilities. As a school nurse with us, you will be part of our student health team. You will also collaborate closely with those in student health services, other educators, and guardians. You are eager to further develop school nurse work together with our student health team, educators, and other colleagues at the school. You will document in the ProRenata journal system. We hold joint meetings twice a year to ensure we learn from each other and that processes remain efficient. Each school has specialist teachers (several), a student guidance counselor, and a school counselor each (plus an additional counselor for AGR). We also have a full-time school psychologist. You will have your own office at each school and will divide your time between the schools based on need. You don't need to commute between schools on the same day unless you prefer to (it takes 15 minutes to walk between them). When students are present, we work on-site. You will be part of a school nurse group in Botkyrka Municipality with many experienced school nurses. At the municipal level, there is an operations manager for health and medical care personnel and a centrally employed school nurse you can consult for professional questions. About You Requirements: - We have experience and expertise, and we welcome your fresh perspectives. Perhaps you're newly graduated with lots of thoughts and ideas we can learn from. - You must be a licensed nurse with specialist training in health and medical care for children and youth or in public health and medical care, or alternatively hold a school nurse qualification from Högskolan i Skövde. Merits: - Since the position focuses on adapted elementary school, experience working with individuals in this target group is a merit. - We appreciate experience from similar work or other healthcare work with children and youth. - Experience using digital tools is valued, and experience documenting in the ProRenata journal system is a merit. - Documented further training in MI (Motivational Interviewing). - All languages are merits! Swedish is required, but additional languages are a significant advantage given that we have students, parents, and staff with many different native languages. You are responsible, able to structure and organize your work independently, and have good collaboration skills. You find development work exciting and want to take an active role in our student health team. You take initiative to develop your own competence to further develop our services. You show empathy in interactions with others and have a genuine interest in working with children and youth. Meeting with guardians and external contacts is also part of the role, so you need to be good at communicating and engaging with people.
