The school is located in a quiet residential area in southern Sollentuna, in a beautiful natural setting with proximity to forest, meadow, and lake. Job Responsibilities As a school nurse with us, you are a key person in the school's student health work, where you work together with school management and the student health team to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. Your role is highly health-promoting and preventive, where you have the opportunity to work both independently and in close collaboration with other professionals. The work is based on the municipality's basic program and is governed by the Health and Medical Care Act, the Education Act, and Guidance for Student Health. In your assignment, you meet students in various settings – through health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, and in open clinics. You also collaborate with the school physician and are an important part of the school's daily work with safety, well-being, and early interventions. Contact with guardians, school staff, and external actors is a natural part of your work. As a school nurse in Sollentuna Municipality, you are employed at the school with the principal as your immediate supervisor. The principal leads the student health work at the school. At the same time, you have close support from the operations manager for medical student health services (EMI), who is responsible for medical guidelines, quality, and development. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a specialist nursing degree in pediatrics and adolescents, a district nurse, or with education in a school nursing program. It is a requirement that you have experience working as a school nurse, and it is meritorious if you have worked in this role at a primary school. Experience with the ProRenata journal system is also meritorious. As a person, you are confident in your professional role and have a genuine interest in children and young people's health. You have an easy time building trusting relationships, both with students and guardians, and you meet people with respect and attentiveness. You enjoy planning and structuring your work, while remaining flexible and able to adapt when the situation requires it. Your collaboration skills are strong and you take responsibility for both your own work and the overall student health assignment. Before employment, we verify your license and specialist studies. Verification through IVO and a check of the criminal record registry are also conducted.
