School Nurse Sought for Consulting Position in Elementary School (Weeks 36-43)

About the Assignment We are seeking a confident and independent school nurse for a consulting position within the Medical Support for Student Health (EMI) at an elementary school (grades 4–9) in Västra Götaland County. You will be a key person in preventive health work and step into a role with clear procedures and close collaboration with the school's other student health team members. Scope & Working Hours Period: August 31, 2026 – October 23, 2026 (weeks 36–43) Scope: 100% (full-time) Working Hours: Monday–Friday, daytime (8:00 AM–5:00 PM or alternatively 7:30 AM–4:00 PM) Location: Västra Götaland County Responsibilities Conduct health visits, health consultations, and check-ups according to the current base program for grades 4–9. Administer vaccinations in accordance with the national vaccination program. Perform medical assessments, consultations, and provide medical advice to school staff. Work closely with the student health team, guardians, school physician, and external health care and government agencies. Plan school physician consultations and carry out any necessary referrals. Document in the journal system Prorenata. Qualifications Licensed nurse (experience with further education as a district nurse, school nurse, or pediatric nurse is a merit). Experience working within the Medical Support for Student Health (EMI) and knowledge of applicable health care legislation. Good experience with the journal system Prorenata. Very good command of the Swedish language (spoken and written). Ability to work independently and contribute constructively in a multiprofessional team.
