School Nurse 60% Sought for Vittra Frösunda in Solna We are a school with a well-functioning student health program. As a school nurse, you work primarily with health promotion and prevention. The overall goal is that all students have the opportunity to meet the approved knowledge requirements in school. As a school nurse, you are part of a comprehensive student health team at the school and work closely with the school doctor, special education teacher, psychologist, counselor, and principal. A comprehensive student health program should support students' development toward the goals of education. The school nurse's duties include customary school nurse tasks that are important parts of the above work. Health visits and the open clinic are important parts of ensuring that each student receives the support they need in school. Other work tasks include vaccinations according to the general vaccination program. Qualifications You must be a licensed nurse and have specialist training in health and medical care for children and young people or in open health and medical care. Previous experience working with children and young people as well as experience as a school nurse is considered advantageous. The work requires good computer skills; we work in ProRenata. As a person, you should be organized and thorough, enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams, and be somewhat of an entrepreneur—a person who thrives with creating and taking own initiative. You have a strong drive for health promotion work, creating a school environment that is positive, tolerant, and safe, and working together continuously to build good relationships at all levels.
