At Montessori Mondial Kungsholmen, we offer an exciting and creative learning environment with a focus on students. We are now seeking you to work as a school nurse at our school. Our current school nurse is retiring and we have hired a school nurse who will work approximately 80%, and we now wish to find a colleague for her on a part-time basis. In your work as a school nurse, you will primarily focus on health promotion and prevention. The overarching goal is that all students shall meet approved knowledge requirements in school, develop, and thrive. As a school nurse, you will be part of a comprehensive student welfare system at the school and work closely with the school doctor, special educator, special teacher, psychologist, counselor, assistant principals, and principal. Comprehensive student welfare should support students' development toward educational goals. The school nurse's duties include standard school nursing tasks that are important parts of this work. Health visits and the open clinic are important parts of ensuring that each student receives the support they need at school. Other tasks include vaccinations according to the general vaccination program. Qualifications We seek someone who is a licensed registered nurse and has specialist nurse training in one of the following areas: • Specialist Nurse Program - District Nurse, 75 credits • Specialist Nurse Program - Child and Youth, 60 credits • Specialist Nurse Program - School Nurse, 60 credits We consider it meritorious if you have experience with: • Work as a school nurse. • Working with children and youth • Health promotion and prevention work • Documenting in the Prorenata medical record system To succeed in this role, you are structured, thorough, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary setting. You are confident in your professional role, can work independently, and have good computer skills. You have a strong commitment to health promotion work and actively contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment. Together with colleagues, you actively work to create, develop, and strengthen good relationships at all levels of the organization. As support in your work, you will be part of AcadeMedia's school nurse network, which meets regularly for profession-specific meetings.
