Right now, we are seeking a school nurse colleague in Täby's unit for student health's medical and psychological services to work in primary school. About the job As a school nurse in Täby, you are centrally employed in the unit for student health's medical and psychological services (EMI and EPI), with placement at 1–2 primary schools. In the unit, school nurses, school doctors, and school psychologists work together. You collaborate with your colleagues in the unit and school staff to create favorable conditions for the municipality's students to develop, learn, and thrive. The school nurse and school doctor constitute the medical services of student health. Your main task is to work in a relationship-building manner to promote health and prevent illness in order to support students' health, development, and learning. You meet students at scheduled health visits, vaccinations, and open clinics, but also as part of the school's daily life and student health work. You contribute your medical expertise to the school's student health work and systematic quality improvement. As a school nurse, you have an important role in collaboration with the school's student health team, other school staff, guardians, and other healthcare and community actors involved with the students. Within EMI, we work with mentorship and a structured introduction program for new colleagues. You have the opportunity to develop in your professional role through collegial support, regular professional meetings, and supervision. Who are you? We are seeking someone who is: - a licensed nurse with further education in open healthcare (district nurse), healthcare for children and adolescents, or school health - experienced with electronic health records. You enjoy working both independently and together with others and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and carry out your work on your own.
