The Education Department is responsible for preschools, primary schools, after-school programs, upper secondary schools, adult education, and child and student health services. Approximately 1,100 employees work here, together creating a safe and developmental school and childcare. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in the school's mission and who wants to contribute to work for health-promoting school development. Area West consists of three school units with associated after-school programs: Hedeskoga, Sövestad, and Svarte. Hedeskoga is an F-2 school, and Sövestad and Svarte schools are F-6 schools. In total, just under 400 students attend schools in Area West. The school units are located at some distance from each other in a scenic environment. This position is for the role of school nurse for the units in Svarte and Sövestad and has a scope of 80% in total. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a school nurse, you will be part of Area West's student health team in close collaboration with the principal, deputy principal, school counselor, social pedagogue, and special educators. You will be an important part of health work together with students, parents, educators, and colleagues in student health. Internal and external cooperation are important aspects of your work. Work based on an established base program, which includes health visits, health checks, and vaccinations. You contribute with medical and nursing expertise in the overall planning of student health work and in systematic quality improvement work, as well as in cooperation with health care and social services. Documentation is done in the journal system Prorenata. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist education as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. It is advantageous if you have previously worked as a school nurse and are experienced in working with children and young people. You have a strong interest in working based on the school's mission. You are curious about and interested in development work based on the school nurse's role in student health in terms of health promotion, prevention, and early intervention in school. You have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build safe relationships with children/students, parents, and colleagues within different professions. You are confident in your professional role and carry out your work independently with good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. You are solution-focused in your working approach. You focus on what works. You see possibilities where others see challenges. You are conscientious in work with record management, accustomed to expressing yourself verbally and in writing in a professional manner, and have good knowledge of the regulations governing health and medical practice.
