The Position and Your Responsibilities • Your role as a school nurse is to collaborate with school leadership, student health personnel, and other school staff to create the best possible conditions for student health, learning, and well-being, drawing on your nursing expertise. The school nurse role involves health promotion and prevention work in accordance with the municipality's base programs and in line with the regulations in the Health and Medical Services Act and Education Act, as well as guidance for student health services. Health assessments, health conversations, vaccinations, open consultations, and consultations with the school physician are part of your duties. As our school nurse, you will be part of our student health team. You will also work closely with those in student health services, other educators, and guardians. You are eager to further develop school nursing work together with our student health team, educators, and other school colleagues. You will document in the ProRenata journal system. What We Offer You Skyttbrink Upper Secondary School currently has approximately 180 students. In our beautiful, recently renovated facilities in a rural setting, we offer programs in Construction and Infrastructure, Vehicle and Transportation, with accompanying introductory programs. In addition to these programs, we also offer IMA and a special teaching group for students who experienced problematic school absences in primary school and therefore did not become eligible for a national upper secondary program, as well as a special teaching group for students with general language disorders. The school has a well-functioning program team of about 20 dedicated educators who describe their workplace as follows: "Great joy and a relaxed atmosphere where we all help each other and share knowledge." We have a well-developed student health service with a school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, and study and career guidance counselor. With strong results and attractive educational programs, Skyttbrink is in an expansion phase. You will be part of a school nurse group in Botkyrka Municipality with many experienced school nurses. The municipality has a central operations manager for health and medical personnel and a centrally employed school nurse you can turn to for professional guidance. About You Requirements: - Licensed nurse with specialist education in child and youth health services or open health and medical care, alternatively school nurse education from Skövde University Meritorious qualifications: - We would welcome experience from similar work or other work in healthcare for children and young people - Experience using digital tools is valued, and it is an advantage if you have experience documenting in the Prorenta journal system - Documented further training in Motivational Interviewing You are responsible and able to structure and organize your work independently while also having good collaboration skills. You find development projects exciting and want to take an active role in our student health team. You take initiative to develop your own competence to also advance the operation. You show empathy in interactions with others and have a genuine interest in working with children and young people. Meeting with guardians and external contacts is also part of the role, so you need to be comfortable communicating and engaging with people. You always maintain professional conduct and are skilled at meeting children and young people where they are.
