DUTIES The school psychologist is part of the central student health team and shall contribute psychological expertise to the school's work to promote student learning, development, and health. The school psychologist's mission is primarily preventive, promotional, consultative, and investigative, and shall help remove obstacles to student learning and development. Work duties include, among other things: • Psychological assessments and investigations, including investigations of eligibility for adapted primary school. • Consultation and guidance to school staff. • Participation in student health's preventive and promotional work. • Professional development initiatives for staff groups. • Contribute to school development based on psychological expertise. • Observations and support in educational activities, both regarding individuals and environment. • Collaboration with external actors such as social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who is a licensed psychologist with an interest in children's and young people's health and development and who wants to help create a school where all students are given the opportunity to develop according to their circumstances. We are looking for you who are confident in your professional role, responsive, structured, and solution-focused. We are looking for you who have a good ability to work independently while also being an active part of cross-professional student health teams. The ability to collaborate and build relationships is of great importance when the work involves being at multiple school units and working within multiple student health teams and with multiple principals. We would like to see that you: • Have a genuine commitment to children's and young people's development and mental health. • Can translate psychological knowledge into practical and usable interventions. • Enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with other professions. • Are confident in your professional role and have a natural ability to build trusting relationships. • Appreciate mentoring, training, and supporting others. • Work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and have good ability to plan and prioritize. Experience working in schools or other activities aimed at children and young people is meriting, as is experience in mentoring, consultation, and investigation work. Good knowledge of NPF is an advantage. You express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing. B-level driver's license is required. We also place great importance on personal suitability. Pursuant to the Education Act, anyone offered this position must present a valid police clearance certificate before an employment agreement can be established. Employment type: Permanent employment.
