We are expanding our team and looking for a new SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
for 0.9 full-time hours per week for an indefinite period

REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
Professional education as defined in the Cabinet of Ministers regulations is required.
Knowledge of legal acts regulating the field of education.
Knowledge of the content of teaching and educational work and the didactics of the subject.
Understanding of the developmental characteristics of learners by age and the psychological principles of communication.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team.
High sense of responsibility.
Ability to work with office equipment and IT tools.
WORK LOCATION: PII "2ND PRESCHOOL", Salaspils, Rubeņu Street 2A, Salaspils.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enhance the learner's spoken and written language development skills for full mastery of language domain competencies (requirements) as outlined in the State education standard.
Conduct group screening of learners' speech, written language, and reading skills.
Assess learners' speech and language development disorders, set goals, select appropriate methodologies, and develop action plans.
Organize speech-language pathology group sessions according to the learner's age, language disorders, and cognitive development level.
When necessary, conduct individual work with learners who have speech or written language disorders.
Regularly maintain records in the speech-language pathologist's logbook and in the e-class school management system in accordance with the Institution's requirements.
Consult with parents and teachers regarding speech or written language disorders and develop recommendations for supporting learners.
Conduct research on learners' developmental progress and perform self-analysis of work.
Use information and communication technologies (ICT) in activities.
Participate in in-depth assessment of learners, involving other specialists when necessary.
Participate in the pedagogical council meetings of the educational institution, Support Personnel meetings, and when needed, in methodological associations and parent assemblies.
Participate in the development of Individual Plans for learners and provision of support.
