School Physician, with opportunity for specialization in School Health Care

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in school health care, general medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, or child and adolescent medicine to contribute to student health's medical and psychological services. The scope of the position can be discussed and there are opportunities for remote work. There is also an opportunity to pursue additional specialization in school health care within the framework of your employment, which includes regular supervision and clinical rotations. The assignment Student medical health is an important actor in preventive work to maintain and improve students' mental and physical health and thereby contribute to students' development toward educational goals. The school physician plays an important role in this work. Clinic activities involve customary school physician tasks with emphasis on health care, students' work environment, and removing obstacles to student learning. Examples include growth and development-related issues, learning difficulties, neuropsychiatric issues, vaccination assessments, medical assessments prior to admission to adapted primary school, and spine checks. In your daily work, you collaborate closely with the municipality's 18 school nurses and your school physician colleague. You also work with the operations manager on medical matters and in work related to patient safety, development, and quality assurance. You also collaborate with relevant departments and Region Stockholm on medical matters. If you do not already have additional specialization in school health care, there are excellent opportunities to pursue specialist training in school health care within your position with us. A supervisor for this exists within the organization, and planning for further education, clinical rotations at other facilities, and regular supervision are conducted in your individual study plan together with your supervisor. We document in the Prorenata patient record system. What you need to bring Requirements Licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, or child and adolescent medicine Good Swedish, spoken and written Driver's license Meritorious Licensed physician with specialist competence in school health care Previous experience from similar work with children and adolescents To succeed in this role, we see that you are confident in your professional role and can independently handle matters.
