School Counselor/Social Pedagogue Entréskolan Örebro

We are now seeking a combined position as a school counselor and social pedagogue at Entréskolan Örebro grades 4-9. The position is 80-100% depending on personal preferences. Entréskolan is an aesthetic primary school for grades 4-9 with a profile of active learning with creative creation based on aesthetic expressions within subject-integrated work areas. Entréskolan is located in Västerås, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Örebro. We offer four aesthetic profiles: dance, theater, music, and art. As a school counselor, you will work with the school's values-based initiatives, preventive measures for safety and study environment, absenteeism, and importantly, mentor teachers in psychosocial matters. All with the purpose of removing obstacles to student learning so that students thrive and develop positively according to the school's goals. As a school counselor, you will be with students in the classroom and during breaks to actively work with conflict management and values-based issues. Your duties also include individual student conversations and parent contact. You will be part of the school's student health team and central student health services as well as regular meetings with school management. As a social pedagogue, your primary task is to be present with students during breaks and other free activities and you are responsible for the school's break activities. We are looking for you who: - Have a positive view of all students' ability to succeed - Have great commitment and are driven and resourceful - Have a great ability to communicate with students and parents in a solution-focused manner - Have good knowledge of the school's governing documents As a school counselor at Entréskolan, you work in close collaboration with other student health services where you are responsible for social and psychosocial competence. Duties: - Psychosocial work with students in groups: class work, group conversations - Mentoring, consultation, and training of school staff - Conversations with individual students, guardians, and multi-party conversations (student-parent-teacher-network) - Social assessment of individual students - Collaboration with internal and external services Education You hold relevant education. A degree in social work (socionom) or similar education within social work. You have experience working in primary school or good experience with social work with children and their families.
