In Höör Municipality, child and student health services are organized centrally and include school nurses, school counselors, school psychologists, school physicians, special education teachers, and our school social team. The central child and student health services have the mission to assist the municipality's primary schools with medical, psychological, psychosocial, and special education expertise in comprehensive student health work. Each school has a student health team that includes a school counselor. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a school counselor, you will be part of the student health services' psychosocial intervention. The role involves working preventively and promoting health to contribute to all students' learning and development. As a school counselor, you bring psychosocial expertise to the educational work and, together with other professionals in the service, create the best conditions for each student to achieve the educational goals. As a school counselor, you will work in our municipal primary schools. You are part of the school's student health team and work together with school staff to create a safe, health-promoting, and inclusive learning environment. You work at the individual, group, and organizational levels to strengthen students' sense of security, participation, and well-being. Your work includes identifying and analyzing factors in the learning environment that promote or hinder students' development and learning together with school staff. Together with other school counselors in central child and student health services, you will contribute to developing the student health services' preventive and health-promoting work for increased quality and equity. School counselors work closely together and meet regularly for collaboration. As a school counselor, you also collaborate with external actors such as social services and the police. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working as a school counselor or in a similar role with children and young people. Experience in a position aimed at developing the school's preventive and health-promoting student health work is a merit. As a school counselor, you are attentive, empathetic, and confident in your professional role. You are solution-focused, unpretentious, and flexible, and you meet each student with engagement and genuine curiosity. Your interpersonal skills create sustainable and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues in the service. The role requires that you enjoy collaboration and that you see the strength in interdisciplinary work. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent employment.
