Job Responsibilities
As a school counselor, you participate in driving and developing preventive and health promotion work for students' health and development. You work in a consultative manner with educators and other professionals in the school. You provide guidance to staff, conduct supportive conversations with students, and perform assessments, investigations, and evaluations. As a school counselor, you always keep the educational mission in focus, and your work also includes sharing knowledge with guardians and school staff.
Qualifications
You are educated as a social worker or have equivalent higher education. We also see that you have experience working with children and young people. You collaborate easily but can also plan and prioritize your work independently. You have an inclusive approach and build good relationships with educators, students, and guardians. You follow current research and base your development work on analysis of previous results. You express yourself well in speech and writing.
Driver's license B and access to a car are required.

About the Operation
We are now seeking school counselors for four different assignments within our primary schools. Read more about the positions below.
You work 70 percent at Bergdalskolan F-6 and 30 percent at Erikslundskolan F-6. As of August 2026, Erikslundskolan will move into newly renovated facilities.
You work 40 percent at Dalsjöskolan 4-6 and 60 percent at Kerstinsgårdskolan F-3 and Tummarpskolan F-3. As of August 2027, these three schools will be located under the same roof, situated in central Dalsjöfors.
You work 80 percent at Fristadskolan 7-9 and 20 percent at Borgstenaskolan F-6.
You work 75 percent at Sjöboskolan F-6 and 25 percent in other assignments/other school.
