Hindås School is situated in the heart of the city between lakes and forests with excellent connections to both Borås and Gothenburg. Bus and train services are close to the school. We have three parallel class tracks, each connected to its own after-school center. We have approximately 200 students and about 30 staff members who work together for student learning and development. We strive to become Sweden's best school, and as part of this, Hindås School uses PALS, an evidence-based method to promote safety and study focus. We are now in our sixth year, and this approach is self-evident for everyone working here. Your Assignment At Hindås School, we support student learning throughout the entire day, and as a staff member, you are an important part of our team. Effective collaboration with all colleagues is essential. Every week, the school's student wellbeing team meets, consisting of the principal, special educator, special teacher, counselor, school nurse, and school psychologist. In the student wellbeing team, we work together to create the best conditions for our teachers and students at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You are responsible for preventive safety-promoting work according to our annual plan, where you lead various activities in each grade level. Examples include "Stop My Body" and "Argue Smarter." You are responsible for monitoring and evaluating the school's plan against discrimination and harassment. Working closely with the principal, you handle reporting of suspected harassment, as well as follow-up and analysis. You are an important social link between school, home, and other community resources. You lead attendance efforts at the school through continuous monitoring and analysis together with staff and student wellbeing services. You will be part of the school's PALS team. As a counselor in Härryda Municipality, you are part of a network of school counselors where the central student wellbeing office serves as coordinator.
