A small school with heart. We are looking for YOU who want to work as a counselor at our small and family-oriented school. The position is part-time at 40%, scheduled for two days per week. Safety conversations, meetings with students, and participation in the school's student welfare team will be your main responsibilities. We would like you to enjoy spending time among students and conducting classroom visits in consultation with teachers. Myrstugubergets Friskola is an elementary school located in the heart of the Myrstugubergets residential area—a so-called "school in the community" that has existed for over 30 years. The school currently has approximately 116 students distributed from grades F-5, and many residents in the area choose to send their children here. The school has a good reputation and is characterized by the motto "It is important to me that you succeed." The staff is dedicated, class sizes are smaller than average, and staff turnover is low. There is one class per grade level, and the school is divided into two sections. At Vargen, grades 1, 2, and 3 are located, and at Myran, the F-class and grades 4 and 5 are located. The school is currently led by a principal, a manager responsible for the after-school program, and a team leader responsible for grades F-5. Over the past two years, the school has prioritized digitalization and student welfare initiatives. In recent school years, we have focused on language development approaches. The school is characterized by high staffing levels and qualified teachers. The school also has a student welfare team consisting of a principal, school nurse, school psychologist, counselor, and special education teacher.
