School Director/Principal

Valmieras Municipality invites you to apply for the position of Kocēnu Primary School Director (indefinite term) If you have the desire to: plan and lead the strategic development of Kocēnu Primary School (hereinafter – School); ensure quality educational processes, implementation of new educational content, and professional change management; create a favorable environment for creative and innovative work by teachers, students, and their parents; lead and motivate School teachers/employees toward common goals; care for the School's reputation and promote student enrollment; inspire, strive for growth, learn and help others learn, find innovations and creative solutions; engage the School in educational development projects; ensure efficient use of School resources; represent the School's interests in state and municipal institutions, cooperation projects, etc.; and if you have: education in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 569 "Regulations on the Education and Professional Qualifications Required of Teachers and the Procedure for Improving the Professional Competence of Teachers"; compliance with the requirements set out in the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law; at least three years of pedagogical work experience in the field of education or educational management; knowledge of and experience with regulatory acts governing the field of education; a strategic vision for School development, understanding of innovations in education, and skills to implement them; an impeccable reputation; state language proficiency at the highest level, at least one official European Union language at the level necessary for professional activities; competencies: leadership qualities, ability to organize and manage team work; ability to argue your opinion and make decisions, inspiring the team; strong communication, cooperation and presentation skills; high sense of responsibility, precision, and ability to manage change; excellent skills in working with MS Office programs; desirable Category B driving license; we offer: dynamic, interesting, and responsible work and opportunities to implement ideas in a development-oriented municipality; stable remuneration determined in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 445 of 05.07.2016 "Regulations on Teachers' Remuneration" (2026.86 EUR before tax); employer co-financed health insurance after the trial period ends, as well as other social guarantees/benefits in accordance with work results and regulatory requirements; professional development and growth opportunities in a team of knowledgeable and responsive colleagues.
