Jelgavas valstspilsētas pašvaldība announces a competition for the position of Director of the Jelgavas valstspilsētas pašvaldības preschool education institution "Zīļuks" (for an indefinite period): Key Responsibilities: manage the educational institution's operations in compliance with regulatory requirements; ensure the continuity of the educational institution's work; establish goals and define tasks for the educational institution's development; plan and make decisions regarding the economical and purposeful use of the educational institution's financial and material resources; organize and ensure quality inclusive pedagogical processes; provide the educational institution with employees possessing qualifications appropriate for the position; organize the development of the educational institution's development plan; within competence, cooperate with state and municipal institutions and educational institutions. Requirements for Candidates: education in accordance with the requirements of Article 13 of Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 569 of September 11, 2018 "Regulations on Education and Professional Qualifications Required for Pedagogues and Procedures for Continuing Professional Competence Development for Pedagogues"; the candidate is not subject to restrictions for working as a pedagogue as defined in the Education Law and the Law on the Protection of Children's Rights; at least 3 years of pedagogical work experience in the field of education or educational management. Experience in managing a preschool education institution will be considered an advantage; knowledge and understanding of educational quality management, financing, and budget planning matters; knowledge of normative acts regulating the educational institution's operations, state and municipal education development priorities; management skills, ability to motivate employees, and ability to work in a team; good computer and information and communication technology skills; knowledge of the state language at the highest level and knowledge of at least one official European Union language to the extent necessary for professional work.
