We are now seeking two forest machine operators for two of our machine teams where you will primarily operate a forwarder in a final felling team or a harvester in a thinning team. For both positions, there is also an opportunity to rotate between the forwarder and harvester. As a machine operator, you have the important task of harvesting and transporting timber to accessible roads where it is then collected for further transport to industries. Our goal is to harvest the forest in as sustainable a way as possible, and you will be an important player in making decisions about how to do this. In your daily work, you collaborate with your colleagues toward established goals, and you plan and execute the work together within the group. The objective is to complete the assignment as qualitatively and efficiently as possible at the best possible cost. In addition to operating, your responsibilities also include ground work such as servicing and maintaining the machines as well as economic follow-up. The environment and the control systems you work with are digital and IT-based. The role of machine operator places high demands on safety, so it is important to work with common sense and always follow the machines' safety procedures. The current work area for the forwarder operator is in Torsby municipality, while the harvester operator's work area is in Munkfors/Forshaga/Sunne. The position reports to the Intrapreneur. We are looking for someone with experience in forest machine operation or relevant education. You have experience operating a forwarder and/or harvester.
