Shooting Range Officer at Garrison Unit Gothenburg Amf4 Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment (Amf4) seeks a shooting range officer positioned within Gothenburg Garrison in Uddevalla. Main Duties The Garrison Unit (GarnE) at Amf4 is primarily a support unit for other units and formations within Gothenburg Garrison. As Shooting Range Officer, you will be part of the Training and Shooting Range Department (ÖSA) based at Sågebacken in Uddevalla, but will also work at other locations within Gothenburg Garrison. The overarching task is to provide unit formations exercising at shooting ranges, training areas and training facilities with the best and safest training conditions possible. Your main duties are to support the shooting range commander with operations and all related tasks within the area of Amf4's land-based training and shooting ranges. The duties require a high degree of independence and strong social competence. The role also involves responsibility for ensuring that operations in your own organization and activities conducted at the shooting range comply with applicable legislation and regulations issued by the Swedish Armed Forces. You will frequently have contact with units from different parts of the Swedish Armed Forces as well as with other authorities, which requires good social competence. You shall be prepared to collaborate and lead work at shooting ranges and shooting fields. You shall also be prepared to participate in and support unit exercises and keep unit needs in focus. Documentation, administration of booking systems and monitoring of environmental permits are a natural part of the work. Gothenburg Garrison includes: Sågebacken Training and Shooting Range Bulids Training Field Skredsvik Training Area/Shooting Range Bråts Training Field with Shooting Ranges Gothenburg Archipelago Shooting Range Sisjön Shooting Range Säve Training Field/Shooting Range Käringberget REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Accredited specialist officer degree, OR 6 Category B driving license Meet Swedish Armed Forces physical requirements (approved within 6 months) Meritorious Category C, BE, CE driving licenses Computer skills - Office package Operator certification (e.g. four-wheeler, wheel loader, Ltgb, L-vehicle, etc.) Trained ammunition disposal leader. Ability to establish risk areas for commonly used weapons such as: anti-tank rifle, machine gun, grenade launcher, grenade rifle, grenade launcher and demolition work. Completed FUSA/SUSA Instructor on commonly used soldier-carried weapon systems.
