Do you want to help ensure heat production for thousands of people while contributing to future energy solutions? We are now seeking a Shift Engineer for our team in Östersund. Here you will have a central role with great responsibility for operation, optimization and development of our facilities in a technically advanced and socially important operation. About the job As a Shift Engineer, you will work on a rotating shift schedule with responsibility for operational planning, monitoring and optimization of our facilities. In addition to contributing to safe, stable and efficient operation of the facilities, you will also: Operational leadership responsibility for your shift team Monitor and analyze operational data to ensure high availability and performance Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational disruptions Identify long-term trends and contribute to business development Train and mentor colleagues Participate in strategic decisions regarding investments, process changes and development initiatives On-call duty may be included in the position. Who are you? We are looking for someone with several years of experience from operating combined heat and power plants or other advanced process industry and who possesses a deep understanding of facility systems and integrations. Upper secondary education with a focus on electrical/energy or engineering, plus relevant qualified vocational education. You have a good ability to analyze operational data, identify long-term trends and translate your insights into practical improvement measures. The position also requires good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you are certified as an Operations Operator according to AFS 2017:3/2023:11, have good computer skills and experience working in several different systems. You should also have experience in leadership roles. As a person, you are responsible, attentive and collaboration-oriented. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, communicate clearly and work in a structured manner with a focus on quality and continuous improvements.
