Central Maintenance is seeking a shift mechanic. As a shift mechanic, you work independently and together with other maintenance personnel across all areas of the company.
About the Position
As a shift mechanic, you will primarily work with emergency and preventive maintenance and to some extent planned maintenance work. You will also participate in our 5S work, daily management, and create new routines and working methods to continuously improve operations.
About You
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in mechanical maintenance work within the manufacturing industry, preferably from the steel industry.
Desirable qualifications include:
Hydraulics/pneumatics
Arc welding/MIG/MAG welding
Machine processing turning/milling
Pumps
The position requires a valid Class B driver's license. A valid forklift and overhead crane certificate as well as Hot Work certification are desirable but not required.
To feel comfortable in the role of shift mechanic with us, you need to be responsible, thorough, and take initiative, as well as enjoy situations where you have contact with other people. Reporting takes place through shift handovers and to the maintenance coordinator.
About the Employment
The employment is a permanent full-time position with start as soon as possible, or according to agreement. Working hours are currently arranged in 3-shift operations.
