Skaraborgs Hospital is now seeking a Unit Manager for the administrative office – a key role that combines strategic leadership with close collaboration with operational managers and support functions. As Unit Manager for the office, you have overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and developing the office's mission. The office serves as important administrative and organizational support to the hospital's management and operations, helping to create structure, quality, and good conditions for healthcare's core mission. The role includes operational, financial, and personnel responsibility, as well as responsibility for ensuring efficient workflows, good service, and high quality in deliverables. The office function has overall responsibility for case preparation for the hospital. Within the unit are records management and documentation, archiving, legal affairs, and a central medical record release function. We're looking for you – a confident and clear leader with the ability to engage and develop employees. You have a holistic perspective, are well-organized, and enjoy working in a complex organization where collaboration and development are a natural part of daily work. Examples of Work Tasks Lead, coordinate, and develop the office's mission and workflows Personnel responsibility for office staff, including work environment, competence development, and staffing Manage and develop processes such as case handling, documentation, record-keeping, and decision support Drive improvement and development initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and service Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, governing documents, and internal procedures Contribute to the hospital's overall goals and development through a holistic perspective You have an academic degree that the employer considers adequate for the assignment, for example in law, public administration, or political science, and have previous experience in a management role. You carry out your assignment independently, have strong ability to structure and prioritize, and enjoy switching between operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
