At Surgical Ward 1, you have the opportunity to expand your expertise across many different surgical areas. We primarily care for patients in urology, vascular, breast and endocrinology as well as ear, nose and throat. We have both acute and elective patients with generally short care periods. We work in teams and with person-centered care.
You will receive six weeks of introduction with us to ensure you feel comfortable in your new workplace. As an employee, you can influence the scheduling of your working hours through individual schedules in Heroma. We operate 24/7 and you work nights by agreement; if you wish to work only nights, you are also welcome to apply. Weekend duty consists of two weekends per five weeks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You should be able to independently work to meet the patient's individual care needs. In dialogue with the patient/relatives, provide support for optimal participation and strive for person-centered care. Here you work together with a nursing assistant and are responsible for surgical nursing care. Your nursing duties include patient-centered care work such as identifying care needs, prescribing and prioritizing preventive measures. Monitoring and evaluating fluid balance and nutritional status. You are responsible for medication management including injections, infusions and pain pumps. You work in collaboration with physicians and in close cooperation with nursing assistants, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. We offer you an individually tailored six-week introduction.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse; if you also have specialist training in surgery, that is a merit. We see interest in surgical nursing as important.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You are flexible, have good organizational skills and want to work in a team. We are proactive and constantly work on developing our operations. We are therefore keen to get new employees with future vision and a desire to develop.
