Within the orthopedic operational area (VO) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus), just over 500 employees work, and we are one of Sweden's largest orthopedic operations. We have activities conducted in both Malmö and Lund. Each year we receive just over 85,000 visits at our outpatient clinics and have approximately 6,700 inpatient patients. Our orthopedic departments in Malmö are inpatient departments with a focus on spine and trauma for patients over 18 years of age. The departments work in close collaboration with each other. We also conduct some elective orthopedic surgery on patients with a hemophilia diagnosis. The orthopedic departments lead improvement work and quality development with experienced colleagues leading the way. We have pharmacists who facilitate medication management and provide support with medication questions. DUTIES We offer you interesting work where you get to make a big difference for our patients and develop together with an interdisciplinary team. We translate theory into practice and conduct high-quality, person-centered care on a daily basis. As a nurse with us, you work with preoperative preparations and postoperative care of patients who have undergone various types of orthopedic surgery. You work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, physiotherapists, social workers, and administrative staff. Together with the team, you as a nurse are responsible for planning and leading care work and medical treatments. We see the strength in the team, and during our pulse rounds, all our professions have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences. The goal is for everyone cared for at the department to experience safety, receive personal attention, and feel respected in a calm and harmonious environment. You and your colleagues play an important role in this work. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required.
