In newly renovated facilities in the main hospital building, we care for patients with stroke and other neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, Guillain-Barré, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and brain tumors. Due to the department's focus on neurology and stroke patients, we also encounter acute situations and work closely with the emergency department. The department currently has two care teams with fourteen care beds, five of which are monitoring beds with telemetry capability. We also have three day care beds. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you attracted to working in interprofessional teams and stimulated by applying your nursing expertise in both acute thrombolysis treatments and rehabilitation work? As a nurse with us, we can offer you both in a varied workday. Your duties include standard nursing tasks for a care unit combined with specific tasks for a department with our specialization. That is, high readiness for acute situations, management of thrombolysis treatment, and participation in rehabilitation work. As a nurse with us, you will be part of a team together with nursing assistants, physicians, paramedics, pharmacists, speech therapists, and dietitians. Our broad mix of expertise means that the right professional performs the right work with our patients. You will start your employment with an introduction period where our mentors and nursing leaders act as experienced support and help you enter the work in a methodical and structured way. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. It is advantageous if you have experience working in neurology and stroke care. The work requires independence and flexibility as well as the ability to handle situations calmly even when the pace is sometimes high.
