The pulmonary department is a care unit with integrated outpatient services comprising 18 inpatient beds and 4 outpatient intervention beds. We care for patients with conditions such as COPD, emphysema, lung cancer, pneumothorax, and interstitial lung diseases. Within our intervention services, we perform bronchoscopy examinations, drain placements, pleural taps, and preparations for fine needle aspirations. Our services have a broad patient clientele, ranging from previously healthy patients who have experienced pneumothorax to patients with extensive care needs at the end of life. This creates a varied and developmental work environment where you have the opportunity to meet many different patient groups and care situations. We continuously work on improvements with a focus on work environment, working methods, task distribution, and improving routines for our internal workflows. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The pulmonary department is a place characterized by both security and development, where we all work together to provide the best possible care to patients. You will have a very exciting and varied position where you have clinical patient responsibility, and if interested, you can over time partly work as an assistant nurse within intervention. You enjoy caring for patients and demonstrate strong commitment to testing and developing new methods and techniques. We work in teams around our patients, where all professional categories are included. As a nurse, based on patients' needs, you lead, prioritize, distribute, and coordinate nursing care work within the team. You contribute with your experience, competence, and learning to increase the personal and professional competence within the team. We work according to a health schedule that varies between day, evening, and weekend shifts, with a focus on employee recovery. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to work within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. We appreciate that you have several years of professional experience as a nurse. Additionally, it is a merit if you have experience within pulmonary medicine and/or palliative care. If you have experience working night shifts, we see that as advantageous. It is also a merit if you have previously worked within an intervention unit. To succeed in this position, you need the ability to adapt to new situations and a willingness to work in a team-based manner.
