About the Job Are you a licensed nurse looking for varied and independent work where you make a difference in people's lives every day? Due to a reorganization, we are recruiting additional staff members for our short-term unit at Högsbotorp Care and Housing Facility in the Southwest district. On the short-term unit, nurses work together in a close team with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a pharmacist, and care staff. The work includes dialogue and collaboration with multiple stakeholders where cooperation and problem-solving are major components. As a nurse at Högsbotorp's short-term unit, you are responsible for working together with other team members to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the patient's needs for healthcare, rehabilitation, and care. Collaboration and good team spirit are highly valued. The unit has 30 beds. The short-term units in Gothenburg City support people who need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to manage daily life, thereby enabling them to remain living at home. We also care for patients awaiting other housing or patients in their final stages of life. The flow of admissions and discharges is high at our short-term units, where patients typically stay around 14 days. Work at a short-term unit is dynamic and varied. As a nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the patients you care for. This includes assessing, investigating, planning, implementing interventions, and documenting based on the patients' various health issues. It is meritorious if you have further education in elderly care. It is desirable if you have prescription rights for incontinence and aids. If you don't have this, you are expected to acquire it during work hours. We would like you to have several years of professional experience. A driver's license (Category B) is required for the position; evening and weekend shifts are included. You have a good ability to work together with others, with the patient's best interests in focus. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You also have the ability to work independently and make your own decisions in your work. You strive to provide high-quality care for patients by taking your work tasks seriously, ensuring you complete what you start, and making sure work is performed correctly. You provide good treatment to everyone you meet in your professional role by showing respect and consideration.
