About the Job Are you a registered nurse looking for varied and independent work where you make a difference in people's lives every day? Due to a reorganization, we are seeking additional staff members for our short-term unit at Högsbotorps Care and Housing Facility in the Southwest district. On the short-term unit, registered nurses work together in a close team with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a pharmacist, and care staff. The work includes dialogue and collaboration with multiple stakeholders where cooperation and problem-solving are significant parts of the role. As a registered nurse on Högsbotorps' short-term unit, you are responsible—together with other team members—for conducting a comprehensive assessment of the patient's need for healthcare, rehabilitation, and care. Collaboration and good teamwork are highly valued. The unit has 30 beds. The short-term units in Gothenburg Municipality support people who need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to manage daily activities, thereby making it possible for them to remain at home. We also care for patients awaiting other housing or patients in end-of-life care. The flow of admissions and discharges is high at our short-term units, with patient stays typically lasting around 14 days. Work at a short-term unit is dynamic and varied. As a registered nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the patients you care for. This includes assessing, investigating, planning, implementing measures, and documenting based on patients' various health needs. It is meritorious if you have further education in elderly care. We would appreciate if you have prescribing authority within incontinence and assistive devices. If you do not have this, you are expected to obtain it during work time. We would like to see that you have several years of professional experience. A B-class driving license is required for this position, and evening and weekend shifts are part of the role. You are someone who works well with others, with the patient's best interests in focus. You understand the collective mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You also have the ability to work independently and make your own decisions at work. You strive to provide high-quality care to patients by taking your work tasks seriously, being committed to completing what you start, and ensuring work is done properly. You provide good treatment to everyone you meet in your professional role by showing respect and consideration.
