Are you a nurse who wants to work in a facility where the patient is always the center of focus? Do you want to work Monday through Friday with engaged colleagues and contribute to safe and quality care before and after surgery? Then this could be the right position for you.
Anesthesia-Operations in Skövde conducts both acute and planned surgical operations for inpatient and day surgery patients. During the fall, an organizational change will take place where the day surgery unit will be organizationally integrated with Anesthesia-Operations. This creates excellent conditions for even closer collaboration and a cohesive care chain with the patient's needs in focus. We work process-oriented and conduct continuous development efforts to ensure high quality, good patient safety, and professional care. With us, collaboration skills, flexibility, and a willingness to develop are important prerequisites for success in the role.
Patients come to us in the morning before their planned operation. We are responsible for preoperative care, perform checks according to checklist, administer premedication, and prepare the patient for the procedure.
After surgery, the patient is cared for in the day surgery recovery unit. There we are responsible for postoperative care by, among other things, ensuring good pain relief, mobilization, and that prescriptions are followed before the patient goes home.
Day surgery operations are conducted Monday through Friday, both during day and evening hours. The position is based in Skövde, but assignments may also occur at other locations within SkaS operational area. The position may also involve weekend work during all hours of the day.
We are seeking nurses for day surgery in Skövde
As a nurse in day surgery in Skövde, you work with pre- and postoperative care for both adults and children, in close collaboration with anesthesia and surgical operations. You have nursing responsibility for the patient and contribute to safe, professional, and person-centered care throughout the entire care process. Your duties include performing medical prescriptions and being responsible for postoperative monitoring of vital parameters. You work in a team with specialist nurses, nurse assistants, and anesthesiologists, where you collectively manage the pre- and postoperative care spaces.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and want to help create safe, secure, and person-centered care in an operation where collaboration and development are in focus. You thrive in a varying pace, are responsible and flexible, and find it easy to work both independently and with others. With a professional and warm demeanor, you build trust with patients, relatives, and colleagues. You see the whole picture in the patient's care flow and want to actively contribute to the continued development of the operation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
