1177 Healthcare Advice Line, Uppsala County Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health services in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary healthcare. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own healthcare centers or within rehabilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. We are looking for engaged and curious telephone advice nurses who want to work day, evening, and holiday shifts. We offer permanent positions on a full-time or part-time basis, with working hours adjusted according to your preferences. Start date is fall 2026 or by agreement; a probationary period may apply. Our operations 1177 is a national service that operates 24/7 in all regions of Sweden. We are responsible for healthcare advice throughout Region Uppsala at all hours of the day. We also collaborate with other regions during certain times of the day. With us you get to work in an exciting operation in constant development. The work is varied and fun. Your assignment Many contact us when they need advice, to gain knowledge and guidance about their condition. We have a medical decision support tool to help us – an evidence-based, clear, and nationally designed support – so that we think broadly in our assessments. We also use a conversation process that makes calls structured, and a catalog that helps us find phone numbers and call hours for various care units. Should you not know the answer during a call, there is always someone on our team who can help – no question is too small for us. We also work through the digital platform 1177 Direct, which is a chat where we provide advice and refer patients to care. For us, it's important that all employees feel secure in their professional role! We therefore offer you skills development in the form of training days once a month and individual mentoring for your own development. You also receive a recognized, high-quality, and individually tailored introduction where lectures alternate with listening in and practice. Your qualifications We are looking for you as a licensed nurse with several years of professional experience. Specialist training and previous experience in primary care are considered merits. You have good computer skills and the ability to work simultaneously in different systems, and you are interested in technology and digitalization. You speak Swedish and English, and it is a merit if you also speak additional languages. You also have an understanding of people's different circumstances and can adapt your approach based on the person you're communicating with.
