As one of our colleagues will be pursuing specialist nurse education in eye care, we are looking for you who are an ophthalmic nurse, optician, or nurse for an exciting assignment at the Eye Clinic, USÖ. An exciting job awaits you with plenty of technology and patient contact! The eye care operations at USÖ is one of Sweden's five largest eye care operations. In total, we have over 130 employees within the operations, which are located at our three hospitals in the county. The Eye Clinic at USÖ is the largest of the three units, receiving approximately 250 patients daily. We also have a large operating department and a care ward for eye patients.
Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities are adapted to your experience and educational background. You will perform independent measurements and various eye examinations such as visual field checks, injections, pressure measurements, photography of the eye fundus, and vision tests. Telephone consultations are also part of your duties. Depending on previous experience, you work independently with your own assessments or in close collaboration with physicians. Job responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of the operations.
Qualifications
You who are a licensed nurse/ophthalmic nurse/optician and curious about eye care are warmly welcome to apply. Experience with clinic work is also a merit. Since the work is characterized by close collaboration with your colleagues, it is necessary that you have good teamwork skills. We value your ability to make independent decisions and work independently. You have a good ability to take initiative and have a positive attitude. About the Operations
The Senses Center operations area is a new operations area within Region Örebro County that encompasses the specialties of Otolaryngology (ENT), oral and maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology and venereology, orofacial medicine (OFM), and plastic surgery. The operations are conducted at Universitetssjukhuset Örebro (USÖ), as well as at the county hospitals in Karlskoga and Lindesberg. The purpose of the merger is to strengthen strategic coordination and create a common infrastructure, improve/optimize care flows and collaboration regarding care units, and create synergy effects, such as within surgical dermatology. We also see that it will strengthen the academic profile with increased research and coordination of support functions and clarify and profile highly specialized care within the Sensory Organs field - regionally and nationally. The new operations area will include approximately 420 employees, working at Region Örebro County's three hospitals.
