Child and Youth Center Västerbotten is a regional clinic with approximately 400 employees and is responsible for all specialist care in the region for children and young people 0-18 years. We have operations in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We are now seeking a nurse for the pediatric ward in Skellefteå. We have 8 care beds for children 0-18 years. There are 2 neonatal beds for infants born from week 32 and beyond. Younger infants are cared for in Umeå. The largest category is children with medical illnesses, but we also care for children with surgical and orthopedic problems. We serve a broad patient group as we care for children with many different diagnoses. BUC in Skellefteå has a good collaborative culture that applies to all our employees regardless of profession. DUTIES As a nurse with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that helps children and young people, as well as their families, feel secure. • You will work with the care of children and young people admitted to us, as well as supporting families in their role of living with a sick child • The work is highly varied as we admit both acute and planned patients. Daily work consists of standard nursing duties on a pediatric ward • We are a technology-intensive ward with various equipment and tools. We also have a day care program and home care services that are under further development QUALIFICATIONS • For this position, you must be a licensed nurse with an interest in pediatric care. Experience and further training are merits • We believe you are a present and positive person who, with knowledge and care, sees the child and their loved ones • You contribute to a holistic perspective that makes the child's time in the hospital better and safer. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people • You want to work with continuous improvements in pediatric care and ensure that BUC in Skellefteå is perceived as an organization in close collaboration to provide patients with the best possible care The position is permanent with the region with temporary placement on the pediatric ward until 2027-08-31 Employment type: Permanent position.
