About the workplace
Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest mission-driven hospital with a clear set of values – to see the whole person. With roots dating back to 1851, we have provided healthcare on Södermalm in Stockholm, but we receive patients from across the country. Here we offer high-quality, specialized healthcare with both breadth and specialized expertise. We are a university healthcare unit and conduct research, education and development in collaboration with the Karolinska Institute. We are growing to help more people, and since 2023 the hospital's capacity has tripled and eight new operations have started.
The Surgery and Anesthesia Clinic specializes in advanced surgery within upper and lower GI as well as abdominal wall surgery. At our surgical department, which also includes an admission unit, we meet patients both before and after surgery. Care is planned, structured and follows standardized care pathways.
Here you work close to the surgical clinic, operating theatre and post-op/ICU, which creates good conditions for collaboration, learning and high quality throughout the care chain. Our team consists of experienced and committed colleagues who are happy to share their knowledge. Together we create a work environment characterized by trust, skills development and care – both for patients and for each other.
As an employee with us, you get the opportunity to develop through regular training, collegial learning and close collaboration between professions. We offer a range of benefits that we hope will give you the conditions to thrive at work and have a rewarding leisure time.
