Description Affective Clinic 2 is one of two specialist clinics for adult and geriatric psychiatric patients with depression and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive syndrome, and severe trauma-related conditions. The catchment area covers all of Gothenburg as well as Partille, Härryda, and Mölndal. The clinic is located together with its sister clinic, Affective Clinic 1, at Rullagergatan 5 in Gamlestaden, in the old industrial area by SKF. The facilities are bright and well-suited for our operations and are located in an exciting neighborhood undergoing development with beautiful walking paths and plenty of lunch options. Our workplace is characterized by high professionalism and an open climate, and we strive for dialogue between different perspectives while maintaining ties to the university and research. Duties Due to a parental leave, we are now seeking a skilled and committed temporary nurse for one of our two affective treatment teams. Competent staff with long experience in specialist psychiatry are looking for a new colleague. The team consists of a nurse, psychologist, social worker, rehabilitation coordinator, and specialist physician. You will also have access to an occupational therapist and physical therapist in the adjacent team within the unit. The nurse's responsibilities include individual counseling sessions, suicide prevention work, acute assessments, medication follow-ups, and collaboration with the team's physician, cooperation with neighboring care units, and administrative tasks related to certain aspects of teamwork. The work is varied and independent in that you plan a large portion of your own time and make decisions within your area of expertise in close collaboration with the team's physician. At the same time, the multidisciplinary treatment team is the hub of the work, where we coordinate interventions and make overall decisions about patient care. Qualifications You are either well-established in the profession or newer to the field and seeking a position where you can develop among experienced colleagues. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a person, it is important that you have a genuine interest in human interaction and that you are goal-oriented in your work. We also appreciate if you have good organizational skills, the ability to see your work in relation to a larger context, and have reasonable computer skills. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts during your first year of employment with us. The Clinical Foundation Year includes lectures, care mentoring, and practical training in your profession at our Simulation Center. In addition, you will work in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.
