Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide excellent and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality. Are you interested in working in a psychiatric specialist team and thereby having the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and develop your skills within the eating disorder diagnosis area? Västra Götaland Region has decided to strengthen eating disorder care in the region. The decision includes an investment in day care services for children under 18 years old. Do you want to be part of developing a service and have the opportunity to work with the team to influence and shape your work tasks? Then this position might be for you! Description Psychiatry Operations at Hospitals in the West provides psychiatric specialist care for children, adolescents, and adults in the municipalities of Kungälv, Kärra-Rödbo, Stenungsund, Tjörn, and Ale. The operations include adult psychiatric and child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinics, two inpatient wards for adults, an emergency department, mobile teams, and specialized units for LARO, DBT, and Eating Disorders. The Unit The Eating Disorder Unit is a specialist unit located at Kungälv Hospital, approximately 20 minutes by bus from Gothenburg. The unit consists of a well-functioning team with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, a dietitian, and a physiotherapist. The service currently consists primarily of day care for adults, with individual interventions for adults, children, and adolescents. The unit is now receiving strengthened resources to be able to offer day care for children, which creates a need for additional personnel. During the fall, we will be working on developing our new family day care program, where the team, physicians, and unit manager, together with other stakeholders, will review treatment offerings, facilities, and working methods. We hope that our new employees will be in place soon, so that everyone can participate in this exciting development work and have the opportunity to influence future work tasks. Work Tasks As a registered nurse at the eating disorder unit, you will have highly varied work tasks. An important part of treatment is the somatic monitoring of patients, where you, together with the physician and nursing colleagues, bear primary responsibility. Examples of work tasks beyond this include psychoeducation, supportive counseling, family counseling, collaboration, and meal support. Work tasks are performed both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. The development opportunities for you as a registered nurse in our operations are significant. We view competence development in the form of supervision and training in the field positively. We offer individually tailored orientation, with the arrangement made in consultation with you. Access is available to both team and professional supervision. Qualifications We are seeking you who are a licensed registered nurse. Experience with and interest in the target group is of great importance. You will be part of a personnel group with a good working environment, high competence, and well-established foundational structures to build upon. We work extensively in teams, so we place great emphasis on collaboration skills and personal suitability. It is good to feel secure in your professional role, but at the same time be curious about others' perspectives.
