The hourly substitute position will involve working when regular nurses have vacation or unplanned absences such as parental leave or sick leave. The work may therefore involve short notice. Schedule times will only be available for longer absences from regular nurses, such as vacation or sick leave. About the role You are the hub around the residents' health and care services and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical prescriptions are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in the operations. Collaboration and support You are part of a team with care staff, nurses, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. An important role for you is to coach and educate care staff so that together you provide each resident with the best possible life. In this, you work closely with the residence's group leaders who are responsible for care staff. Our group leaders also coach and work together with the teams in daily operations. Getting to know the residents Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and medical conditions are often crucial for correct assessments and decisions. The residence consists of 40 residents distributed across four units on two floors. Here work two nurses who are responsible for two units each. The residence includes common outdoor areas and balconies. A large common room is located on the ground floor. Here there is opportunity for larger group activities such as musical entertainment, chair gymnastics, bingo, film screenings, joint celebrations, breakfast buffet, and more. Your experience and knowledge You are a licensed nurse and we would like to see that you have worked a few years in elderly care.
