The Saltvik Operations Area comprises the prisons Saltvik, Härnösand, and Ljustadalen, as well as the remand facility Saltvik. Within the operations area, there is great diversity ranging from the open women's prison Ljustadalen to the closed prison Saltvik, which in addition to regular units also has one of the country's three high-security units. The Härnösand prison is also a closed facility. The largest professional group is correctional officers, but we also employ healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production managers, and others. Inmates are engaged in education, various treatment programs, or work in the prisons' packaging/assembly, laundry, or woodwork departments. You can easily reach the Saltvik prison and remand facility by bus or car and park at our staff parking lot. The Härnösand prison is located in the center of town with good bus connections and staff parking. Job Description The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides certain open healthcare services, which means all prisons and remand facilities have healthcare clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to nurses, the clinics have general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a nurse, you have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, and you also assess which patients should see a doctor. This means you work with both somatic and psychiatric healthcare for inmates, assist at doctor's clinics, and administer medications, primarily through dose dispensing. Documentation currently takes place in the PMO patient record system. We are also in a transition phase to the new operations system CGMJ4. As a nurse at VO Saltvik, you will be employed within the entire operations area. This means that when needed, you may support your colleagues at all facilities where your expertise is most needed. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has self-awareness. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and composed. You have great integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. You are quality-conscious and thorough, and have the ability to structure your approach and drive your processes forward independently.
