We are now seeking a nurse for the stroke unit! Description Department 9 is a medical ward with a focus on stroke/TIA. In recent years, the department has received recognition for excellent stroke care from the Stroke Association and received the prize for Stroke Unit of the Year in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. For us, good collaboration is important as we work in a team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, secretaries, and others around the patient. The department also works with continuous development, which contributes to your work being experienced as stimulating and challenging. We also value quality highly and have a goal that all employees should have specialist competence in stroke care. We also offer internal training such as the stroke competence certificate. We have new, fresh facilities and can offer a good working environment. Job Responsibilities As a nurse in a medical ward, you have the opportunity to influence and make a difference for patients in daily work. You work closely with nursing assistants, physicians, and rehabilitation staff to provide good patient care. The department works with continuous development of personal competence for each individual employee. Qualifications You are a licensed nurse, preferably with some years of work experience, and are interested in stroke care. You want to work in a changing environment where you drive patient-centered development together with the team. You are also motivated by taking responsibility and being given responsibility in your role as a nurse. Great importance is placed on personal qualities such as flexibility, teamwork ability, and thoroughness, as you will work with varying tasks. You have a good manner with patients, are innovative, and take initiative. Clinical Foundation Year For newly graduated nurses/radiologic technologists, a Clinical Foundation Year is included during your first year of permanent employment. The Clinical Foundation Year includes lectures, process-oriented nursing instruction, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. It also includes shadowing in other departments so you can gain a broader understanding of the hospital where you work.
