We are now seeking nurses for the cardiology ward and cardiac intensive care unit (HIA), including medical intermediate care (MIMA). In the cardiac section, we have integrated outpatient, inpatient, and day care into one unit to create the best possible patient process and provide person-centered care. The position is a rotation service between the ward and the cardiology outpatient clinic. Within the outpatient clinic, you will work at the acute care clinic, arrhythmia clinic, and pacemaker clinic. During outpatient work, you will independently see patients whom you follow up in collaboration with physicians. WORK DUTIES On the cardiology ward/HIA, we primarily care for patients with various types of heart disease. Here you will meet patients who have acutely become ill or experienced a decline in heart function where the need for quick and safe care is significant. As a nurse, you lead and delegate nursing work and have a central role in the team. Together you work to meet the patient's needs in the acute phase and plan ongoing care in dialogue with the patient. You often become the hub of communication between relatives, home care services, and other professionals – an important part of creating security and safe care all the way home. In HIA, we are also responsible for medical intermediate care (MIMA) – a level of care between the ward and intensive care. Here we care for medical patients who have experienced decline in, for example, breathing or circulation, as well as patients who have left intensive care and need an intermediate step before returning to a regular ward. If you don't have previous experience in cardiac intensive care, you will start on the ward and be gradually introduced to HIA and MIMA. Regardless of background, you will quickly develop your knowledge in cardiology. With us you work in a close and competent team together with nursing assistants, service personnel, physicians, and other support professionals such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social workers.
